Tours last about an hour and a half. Tennis shoes are recommended. Garden visitors must be accompanied by a docent. Our docents are very friendly. They’re eager to show visitors the nooks and crannies where plants are blooming or really cool spaces that might otherwise be missed. Docents can relate stories and other brainy tidbits about plants and the people that built the garden. Docents can help visitors quickly find their way back to the office area where the bathroom is located. We understand many visitors would like to stroll the garden in private, but at this time it’s not an option.

The nursery hours are the same as garden hours and are also by appointment only during week days. There is no cost to visit the nursery. Many of the plants propagated from the Garden and from our green house are available for purchase in the nursery.
Special AssistanceWe apologize that neither paths nor bathrooms are ADA accessible. The paths contain numerous steps and roots and thus unable to accommodate walkers, wheel chairs and strollers.
We’re located three miles south of Hwy 290. Our sign is very small and located well off the road. Watch for the agaves.
