Shrubs and Small Trees for Small Spaces
Peckerwood Garden is well known for its arboretum, woodland and dry gardens whose sprawling beauty is sometimes difficult for the home gardener to distill and apply to small spaces which often present challenges related to space, irrigation and light. Frequently, these spaces aren’t well suited to thorny or spiny shrubs, rampaging rhizomes or prolific self-seeders. Struggle no longer! On this tour you’ll encounter the perfectly “well-behaved” shrubs and small trees.
The Insiders Tours in General
A knowledgeable docent will highlight a focused subject, such as Peckerwood’s specific plant groups, garden design strategies, seasonal interest and more. Attendees will often get a rare opportunity to see sections of the Garden rarely visited during the open day tours in order to understand and appreciate Peckerwood’s unique collections and their use in the landscape.
Date and Time
First Saturday of each month at 10:00 am. The tour is approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes long.
There’s no need to register or pay in advance. Tickets are $10 at the door.
The nursery is open after the tour.
Members enter free.
